HALIENE brought her latest album to the Ibiza sunset on 12 August 2026, performing Eclipsed from beginning to end as a total solar eclipse passed across the sky above the island.

The Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter performed the album alongside her husband and longtime production partner Matthew Steeper, timing the performance to coincide with the evening eclipse.

The event combined the 15-track album with one of the year's most significant astronomical events, as the Moon moved across the Sun and briefly brought totality to the Ibiza horizon.

Music Meets the Eclipse

The performance was built around the relationship between the album and the eclipse itself.

Eclipsed explores themes of light, darkness, connection and transformation, making the timing of the live performance particularly significant.

The set began during daylight and continued as the Sun descended towards the horizon. Totality occurred shortly after 20:30 local time, with Café del Mar's official eclipse information recording totality from approximately 20:33 to 20:34 CET.

The performance was timed so that HALIENE's song “Eclipsed By You”, her collaboration with Ilan Bluestone, coincided with the moment of totality.

A Full Performance of Eclipsed

Rather than performing selected tracks, HALIENE played the album in its entirety.

The 15-track sequence includes:

• “Eclipsed [Intro]”

• “Solar Waves”

• “Right Love”

• “My Reverie”

• “The Other Side”

• “Orbit” with Koven

• “Don't Give Up On Me” with Nikademis

• “Heaven Left A Light On”

• “House of Daydreams”

• “Dark Side of My Heart”

• “Found”

• “Eclipsed By You” with Ilan Bluestone

• “Voltage” with Miyuki

• “The Hymn”

• “Totality”

The complete album was released on 21 August 2026 through Black Hole Recordings. HALIENE's official music information describes Eclipsed as her second album, following Heavenly from 2022.

A Sunset Total Eclipse Over Ibiza

The 12 August eclipse was a total solar eclipse whose path crossed parts of Spain before continuing across the Mediterranean region.

NASA confirmed that totality was visible in parts of Spain, while locations outside the central path experienced a partial eclipse. The event reached Spain late in the evening, close to sunset.

In Ibiza, the eclipse coincided with sunset, creating a particularly unusual combination of astronomical and natural light conditions.

Café del Mar Ibiza recorded the beginning of the partial eclipse at 19:39, totality at approximately 20:33 and sunset at approximately 20:53 local time.

The Album's Themes Played Out in Real Time

The performance gave the album's title and themes a literal setting.

As the Moon progressively covered the Sun, the lighting conditions changed throughout the performance, moving from daylight towards the brief period of darkness created by totality.

Among the songs featured in the performance were “Solar Waves”, “Right Love”, “Orbit”, “Heaven Left A Light On” and “Eclipsed By You”.

The performance was filmed, allowing the complete experience to be watched beyond the live event in Ibiza.

HALIENE's Eclipsed Era

Eclipsed is HALIENE's second studio album and follows her 2022 debut Heavenly.

The album brings together melodic bass, trance, progressive house and mainstage electronic influences across 15 tracks. It also features collaborations with artists including Ilan Bluestone, Koven and Nikademis.

The Ibiza performance therefore served as more than a conventional album presentation. It connected the record's central concept with the real astronomical event that inspired its title and imagery.

For Ibiza, the performance added another musical dimension to an extraordinary evening in which the island's famous sunset became the backdrop for a total solar eclipse.

Watch the Full Ibiza Performance

The complete Eclipsed performance was filmed in Ibiza and released for audiences to experience after the event.

It captures the album from beginning to end against the changing sky, culminating in the period of totality above the Mediterranean horizon.

For fans of HALIENE, trance and melodic electronic music, it provides a permanent record of an unusually timed Ibiza performance that brought together a full album and a rare astronomical event in the same setting.
