Like Mike is back on the Ibiza stage, reuniting with his brother and longtime musical partner Dimitri Vegas at Ushuaïa Ibiza for the closing night of their 2026 Tomorrowland residency.

The appearance on Wednesday, September 30 marked Like Mike’s first confirmed live performance since stepping away from touring in July to focus on his recovery from health challenges.

A long-awaited return to Ushuaïa

For fans of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, seeing the two brothers back together at Ushuaïa was a significant moment.

Like Mike had withdrawn from his upcoming live shows in July after explaining that he had been dealing with health challenges for several months. He said he had decided to take a break from touring so he could concentrate on his recovery.

The decision meant Dimitri Vegas continued performing without his brother during the summer, including at Tomorrowland in Belgium, where he took the stage alone and dedicated a moment to Like Mike.

The brothers reunite for the closing party

Their Ibiza reunion came at the end of the 2026 Tomorrowland residency at Ushuaïa, giving the season a particularly memorable finale.

The Wednesday residency ran from May 6 through September 30, with the Ushuaïa stage transformed around Tomorrowland’s Planaxis concept, inspired by the festival’s underwater universe.

The final party featured Dimitri Vegas alongside Hannah Laing B2B Lilly Palmer, Massano, MATTN and LAMAR, with Like Mike returning to join his brother on stage.

A different summer for Like Mike

Like Mike’s absence was noticeable throughout a summer in which he had originally been expected to perform alongside Dimitri Vegas at a number of major shows.

When announcing his touring break, he said cancelling the performances was not a decision he had taken lightly and that he would continue creating music in the studio while focusing on his recovery.

The exact nature of his health challenges has not been publicly disclosed, so there is no further detail to add beyond the explanation he has given himself.

Back where the Ibiza season began

Ushuaïa has long been an important part of the Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike story, with their Tomorrowland residency becoming one of the recognisable fixtures of the island’s summer club calendar.

The 2026 edition brought the duo’s high-energy performances together with the large-scale production associated with Tomorrowland and the Planaxis theme, creating a very different backdrop for their weekly Ibiza shows.

For Like Mike, however, the September 30 appearance was about more than another Ibiza performance. It was his first confirmed return to the live stage following several months away.

Fans welcome Like Mike back

The reunion was also met with an enthusiastic reaction online, with fans celebrating the sight of the brothers performing together again after Like Mike’s extended absence.

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike themselves described the Ushuaïa closing as an unforgettable end to their Ibiza season, thanking the crowd for joining them throughout the residency and hinting that the pair will see fans again soon.

The next chapter for the duo

After an unexpected break from live performances, Like Mike’s return at Ushuaïa gives the season a positive ending and marks an important step back onto the stage.

The Ibiza appearance also closes the 2026 Tomorrowland chapter at Ushuaïa, where the brothers once again shared the stage in front of an Ibiza crowd.

For one of electronic music’s best-known DJ partnerships, the reunion was a fitting way to bring another summer on the island to a close.
