September 29, 2026 Ibiza & Formentera Tuesday Events: Sant Miquel’s Big Day, Traditional Dance, Fire, Art & More

Published on September 27, 2026 at 08:33 PM

Sant Miquel celebrates its patron saint on September 29 with one of Ibiza’s most traditional days of the year, bringing a solemn procession, ball pagès, live music and an evening correfoc to the north of the island.

Around Ibiza and Formentera, there is plenty more to discover beyond the clubbing calendar, including art exhibitions, local markets, wellness sessions, wine tasting, outdoor adventures, boat trips, live music, creative experiences and sunset plans.

Here is your guide to the best non-clubbing events and experiences taking place across Ibiza and Formentera on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.

Sant Miquel Celebrates Its Patron Saint

Tuesday, September 29 is the big day of the Festes de Sant Miquel in Sant Miquel de Balansat.

The day begins with the traditional ringing of the church bells at 09:00, followed by the main celebrations in the afternoon.

At 18:00, a solemn mass and procession take place at the church of Sant Miquel. At 19:30, the Colla de Balansat presents a traditional ball pagès, followed by a live performance from Groove Garage at 20:30.

The evening ends with the spectacular correfoc at 22:30, with the Es Mals Esperits troupe bringing fire, drums, costumes and traditional characters into the streets.

The celebrations are free to attend and offer one of the best opportunities of the year to experience traditional Ibiza culture.

A Small Art Exhibition During the Sant Miquel Festivities

Also in Sant Miquel, the Sala de l'Ajuntament on Passeig de Balansat hosts the Taller Artístic Gartxi exhibition by Elena Garchitorena.

The exhibition runs from September 26 through September 29 and is open on the final day from 18:00 to 20:00.

It forms part of the wider Sant Miquel festivities and provides a quieter cultural option to combine with the evening celebrations.

New Art and Photography Around Ibiza

September 29 offers several exhibitions for visitors interested in contemporary and local art.

At Sa Nostra Sala in Ibiza Town, an exhibition bringing together the work of Carles Fabregat and Josep Vallribera continues through October 10. The exhibition combines sculpture, photography, structures and writing and is open on September 29 from 10:00 to 13:30 and from 17:30 to 20:30.

At the Museu Etnogràfic d'Eivissa Can Ros in Santa Eulalia, three temporary exhibitions explore different aspects of traditional Ibicencan culture, including rural courtship and family life, historic systems of measurement, and the culture and sustainability of esparto grass. The exhibitions run through December 19 and are open Tuesday to Sunday during the museum's normal hours.

Santa Eulalia's Sala d'Exposicions Sant Jaume 72 also presents “Tiempo y luz en Eivissa” by Amparo López. The exhibition runs until October 3 and is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 13:30 and 17:00 to 20:00.

In Sant Joan de Labritja, the photography exhibition “Una mirada a Eivissa des de Barcelona” by Josep M. Miedes opens from September 28 and continues through October 13 at the local library, with visiting hours from 18:00 to 20:00.

A Creative Afternoon at Nômade Temple

Nômade Temple Ibiza hosts Geeky Punks: A Sound Experience on September 29 from 14:00 to 19:00.

The afternoon is built around listening, experimentation, creativity and sound, beginning with breathwork before moving into a more interactive programme.

It is one of the more unusual cultural experiences on the day's calendar and is also officially featured on Ibiza's tourism agenda.

A Creative Experience with Horses

Horse as Muse in the countryside around San Rafael offers a different kind of creative escape.

The experience combines painting, nature and time around horses, with options including a painting workshop, a parent-and-child experience and a Garden-to-Table option.

It is scheduled on Tuesdays through Saturdays from September 14 onwards, making September 29 one of the available dates.

Start the Morning with Yoga

Several regular wellness experiences are available around Ibiza on Tuesday morning.

Hotel Riomar in Santa Eulalia has yoga from 08:30, while Amante in Cala Llonga and Aiyanna in Es Caná both offer yoga and breakfast from 08:45.

Beachouse Ibiza in Playa d'en Bossa offers beach yoga from 09:30, while Casa Munich in Sant Jordi also has morning wellness sessions.

For something more outdoorsy, Qigong in the Forest takes place in the Santa Eulalia countryside from 10:00 to 11:00, offering a gentle outdoor movement session among the pine trees.

Explore Ibiza's Wine Country

At Can Rich near Sant Antoni, guided tours and wine tasting begin from 10:00.

The experience gives visitors a chance to discover Ibiza's countryside and local wine production, making it a good choice for anyone wanting to see a more agricultural side of the island.

Visit Cova de Can Marçà

The Cova de Can Marçà at the Port of Sant Miquel is open for guided visits on September 29.

Tours run approximately every 30 minutes during the May to October season, with opening hours from 10:30 to 19:30. The approximately 40-minute experience combines the natural cave with light, sound and water effects.

Outdoor Adventures Around the Island

There are several active options for September 29.

A Walk on the Wild Side takes visitors on a guided route around the Es Vedrà viewpoints from 09:00, while coasteering around San Carlos begins from 10:00.

Quad, buggy and electric motorbike excursions are also available from Playa d'en Bossa, while the Cala Llonga tourist mini train provides a gentler sightseeing option.

Boat excursions include a beach-hopping cruise to Cala Bassa and Cala Conta from San Antonio and a Capitan Nemo natural-park excursion later in the afternoon.

Relax by the Pool

For visitors looking for a slower Tuesday, several hotels and pool venues offer day experiences.

Options include OKU Ibiza, Ryans Lolas, Casa Munich, Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay, Riomar, CLAP HOUSE, Los Felices, Paradiso Art Hotel, Mongibello, 7Pines Resort and Playa Pacha at Destino Five.

These are recurring daytime experiences rather than one-off events, but they are useful additions to a daily “what's on” guide for visitors planning their day.

Food, Sunset and Evening Experiences

As the afternoon moves towards evening, Ibiza offers several relaxed alternatives.

Kumharas in San Antonio Bay hosts Sunset Sessions from 17:00, while The Standard Ibiza's rooftop hosts Solar Sessions from 18:00.

Sunset kayaking from Portinatx starts from 18:30, and Ibiza Food Tours offers an evening food experience from 18:00 in Ibiza Town.

At Velas de Ibiza, a sensory aromatherapy workshop begins at 19:00. The 60-minute experience introduces participants to essential oils and allows them to create their own scented rollerball to take home.

Live Music at Cala Escondida

Cala Escondida in Playa d'en Bossa welcomes Cover Garden on Tuesday, September 29 from 18:30 to 20:30.

The duo featuring Claudia Bardagí and Joan Carles Marí forms part of the live music programme at the beachside venue.

Salsa and Flamenco

Cubanito Ibiza hosts Salsero: Pure Salsa & Sabrosura from 19:00, providing an evening centred around salsa and Latin music.

At Cas Costas in Sant Josep, the weekly Tuesday flamenco night takes place from 20:00 to 22:00, with Que te quiten lo bailao performing flamenco, rumba and sevillanas.

Las Dalias Night Market

The Las Dalias Night Market returns on Tuesday from 19:00.

September 29 is the final Tuesday edition of the 2026 seasonal Night Market programme, making it one of the final opportunities to browse the stalls, enjoy food and soak up the relaxed market atmosphere before the summer schedule ends.

Las Dalias itself confirms that the Night Market runs on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays and that September 29 is the final Tuesday date.

Formentera on Tuesday, September 29

For visitors making a day trip across to Formentera, the island's official agenda has several confirmed options.

Sant Francesc Market

The Sant Francesc Market is open from 10:00 to 14:00 and operates daily through October 31.

Nits de Mola

The final Nits de Mola event of 2026 takes place at 22:00 in El Pilar de la Mola.

The programme forms part of Formentera's Música a les Places series, with the September 29 event marking the final Tuesday night of the season.

Make the Most of Tuesday in Ibiza & Formentera

September 29 is one of those dates when Ibiza's traditional side comes firmly into view.

The Sant Miquel celebrations are the day's major cultural highlight, but there are plenty of ways to build a completely different itinerary around them, from wine tasting, cave tours and exhibitions to wellness, creative experiences and sunset activities.

Formentera also has plenty happening, particularly for visitors who want to combine a daytime island trip with markets, art and the final Nits de Mola evening of the season.

As September comes to an end, several seasonal markets and experiences are also reaching their final dates, so checking the latest details and availability before setting out is recommended.
