More than 500 athletes took part in the second edition of Cobra Race Ibiza on Saturday, October 3, bringing a full day of hybrid fitness competition to the Recinto Ferial de Ibiza, FECOEV.

The event combined running with functional strength and cardio exercises, testing participants across different categories and levels. The Ibiza race was the fifth Cobra Race event held in the Balearic Islands and marked another step forward for the competition after its first Ibiza edition in 2025.

A 4.5-Kilometre Hybrid Challenge

Cobra Race combines 4.5 kilometres of running with nine functional workout stations.

Participants alternated running sections with exercises including rowing, sled push and drag, deadlifts, AirBike, weighted lunges, dumbbell snatches, SkiErg, sandbag carries and thrusters.

The distances, repetitions and weights varied according to the category, with Individual and Pairs formats available across Open, Intermediate and Elite levels.

The format allowed experienced competitive athletes to compete alongside participants taking on the challenge as a personal sporting goal.

More Than 500 Participants

The second Ibiza edition attracted more than 500 participants, with the organisation highlighting the growth of the event compared with its 2025 debut.

The 2026 event had originally been promoted with a target of reaching 1,000 participants. The final figure, however, was more than 500, which is the number reported following the event.

FECOEV also became a meeting point for Ibiza's functional fitness community, with athletes, training boxes, spectators and collaborators attending throughout the day.

The organisers described the response from athletes, boxes, public and collaborators as evidence of the event's continued development in Ibiza.

Cobra Race Continues in Mallorca

Following the Ibiza event, the Cobra Race calendar continues in Mallorca.

The next race is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, at Campo Nova Cabana in Marratxí.

For Ibiza, the second edition has established Cobra Race as another addition to the island's growing calendar of fitness and sporting events, bringing together elite competitors and recreational athletes for the same hybrid challenge.
