Thursday, October 8, 2026 Ibiza & Formentera Events: Art, Markets, Boat Trips, Local Festivities, Live Music and More

7 October 2026

Thursday, October 8, 2026 brings another varied autumn day to Ibiza and Formentera, with plenty to do away from the island’s biggest clubs.

The programme stretches from morning wellness sessions, outdoor adventures and boat trips to local markets, art exhibitions, village festivities, live music and sunset events. Formentera has a particularly interesting cultural programme, while Cala de Bou and Port des Torrent begin their local festivities and several Ibiza venues host live performances throughout the evening.

Morning in Ibiza

The day gets underway early with a mix of outdoor activities, wellness and relaxed hotel experiences.

Around the Island Adventure with Ibiza Outdoors and the OKU Ibiza Day Experience both begin from 08:00. Yoga is available at Hotel Riomar in Santa Eulària from 08:30 and at Hotel Galfi in San Antonio from 09:00.

For something more active, Horse as Muse in the San Rafael countryside starts from 09:30, while BiBo Park, coasteering, quad and buggy excursions and other outdoor experiences get underway from around 10:00.

Guided wine visits and tastings at Can Rich are another option for visitors looking to explore Ibiza’s countryside and local produce.

Markets, Art and Island Culture

Thursday is also a good day to explore Ibiza and Formentera’s more traditional side.

On Formentera, Sant Francesc Market continues from 10:00 to 14:00, while the exhibition dedicated to the work of Cati Verdera remains open at the Far de la Mola cultural and educational space.

In Ibiza, Santa Eulària’s Passeig de s’Alamera has its regular Thursday craft market, while Cala Llonga’s market begins in the evening.

The island’s art programme is particularly strong on October 8. Marina Penhos’ Dones a la mar opens officially at 17:00 at the Sant Jaume 72 Exhibition Hall in Santa Eulària. The exhibition runs from October 6 to October 24 and is free to visit.

Tardor d’Art in Formentera

Formentera’s Autumn of Art programme continues on Thursday with two official events.

From 12:00 to 14:00, a screen-printing workshop takes place with Lorenzo, Carola and Stefano.

Later, from 18:00 to 20:00, Tardor d’Art presents Drap-Aires: Stories from the Drap-Art Festival.

Both are part of the autumn arts programme centred around Sant Francesc.

Formentera also has a strong programme of talks and local heritage events. At 17:00, Talks for Families and Educators features Marina Marroquí, while at 19:00 the Joan Marí Cardona Local Study Conferences present Ca ses Ferreres: recovering a traditional architecture, with Camila Mileto and Fernando Vegas López-Manzanares.

Cala de Bou and Port des Torrent Festivities

The local festivities around Cala de Bou and Port des Torrent provide another important cultural thread on Thursday.

At 17:00, Ajudant de biblioteca takes place at the Cala de Bou Library as part of the programme.

Then at 20:30, the Auditori Caló de s’Oli hosts the opening of Transiciones – Vacío, aquel lugar que lo precede todo, an exhibition of paintings by César Sánchez accompanied by a performance from the Ibiza String Ensemble.

The opening forms part of the official cultural programme associated with the Cala de Bou and Port des Torrent festivities.

Afternoon Adventures and Boat Trips

The sea remains a major part of Thursday’s programme.

A Beach Hop Cruise to Cala Bassa and Cala Conta departs from San Antonio from 11:00, while A Balearic Odyssey offers a later sea-and-land excursion from around 15:00.

Captain Nemo’s trip towards Es Vedrà begins from 17:00, followed by a sunset kayak excursion from Portinatx at 18:30.

For visitors staying on land, the Tourist Train in Santa Eulària begins its afternoon service at 15:30, while Playa Soleil’s 4PM Club starts from 16:00.

Ibiza Sunset Events

The island’s famous sunset culture continues well into October.

Hostal La Torre begins its Sunset Sessions from around 17:00, followed by rooftop and beachside options including Solar Sessions at The Standard Ibiza and the BOHO Experience at Beachouse Ibiza from 18:00.

The Tomorrowland Rooftop Sessions return to Playa d’en Bossa from 18:00, offering another option for an early-evening music session.

Café Mambo’s sunset programme continues from 19:00 in San Antonio, making it possible to combine an afternoon activity with one of Ibiza’s classic sunset settings.

Live Music Across Ibiza

Thursday evening offers a strong selection of live music away from the main clubs.

At Cala Escondida, The Soul Connectors with Matteo Crocetti perform from 18:30 to 20:30.

Crossroad brings blues, rock and pop to Can Jordi Blues Station from 19:00 to 21:00.

At Cas Costas, the duo Mano a Mano performs tango from 20:00 to 22:00, while Los del Varadero bring rumba and pop to Tribu in Cala de Bou during the same time slot.

Anna & Ainvar perform pop and rock versions at Racó Verd from 20:30 to 22:30, while Sa Caleta Restaurant also has its Thursday musical evening.

Music and Closing Season Events

Although this guide focuses on the wider island programme, Thursday night is also an important date in Ibiza’s closing-season calendar.

LoveJuice runs at O Beach from 13:00 to 22:00, while Pikes hosts its Back to Mine closing party from 21:00 to 04:00.

Later, Marco Carola’s Music On Closing Party Part One takes over Pacha from 23:00, Teletech hosts its closing party at Amnesia from 23:00, ARTCORE arrives at [UNVRS] from 23:30 and Defected holds its closing party at Chinois from 23:30.

For a more alternative music experience, the 33SELECT45 Closing Session at 666 - Ryans Ibiza begins at 14:00 and runs until 23:00, combining open vinyl decks with a headline set from Carlos Willengton.

Ibiza on Thursday, October 8

Thursday, October 8 is a particularly good day to experience the island beyond its headline nightlife.

The morning lends itself to wellness, markets, wine and outdoor activities. The afternoon moves towards art, local cultural programmes and time on the water, while sunset brings rooftop sessions, beachside music and some of Ibiza’s most atmospheric venues.

For culture lovers, Santa Eulària’s Dones a la mar, the Cala de Bou festivities and Formentera’s Tardor d’Art are among the day’s highlights. Live music then provides a wide choice of styles before the closing-season club programme takes over after dark.

Ibiza in October may be quieter than the height of summer, but Thursday, October 8 proves that there is still plenty happening across the island and Formentera, from local community events and traditional markets to art, music, nature and unforgettable autumn evenings.
